Volunteers are essential to the mission of Camp Fire Central Coast. There are numerous ways to get involved and there are numerous reasons volunteers give of their time and resources. We seek to find mutual benefits and opportunities for those who join us in our mission of serving children, youth and their families. Please share your interests with us on the form below. Volunteer opportunities include;



Club Leaders & Assistant Leaders:


Club Leaders needed for 8-10 children. Position includes the support of the Program Director and the very finest program materials. This is one of the finest lifetime opportunities for a parent, their children and your child’s friends.

Camp Tacanneko:

This week long day camp volunteer opportunities include food prep, crafters, parking, teachers, archery instructors, registration, and support positions.

Teens in Action:

Interns needed to support Youth Development Specialists and work with motivated youth who seek to do community service projects that they care about.

Camp Fire Office:

Office support includes data entry, marketing, public speaking, social media, website maintenance, public relations, general office support.

Area Service Teams (AST):

The Board of Directors may define geographic areas. Area Service Teams may be formed to carry out the plans and policies formulated by the Board of the Council of which the area is an integral part. The Area Service Team shall consist of a board member who resides in the area and will chair the team up to three additional members. Areas include;

  •     North Santa Barbara County
  •     Five Cities
  •     San Luis Obispo City
  •     Coastal
  •     North SLO County
