Giving Tuesday & Year End

As we approach the end of the calendar year, Camp Fire Central Coast would like to thank our community of supporters, participants, and volunteers. Together we are helping young people find their #Spark and #Thrive! We know youth with a purpose are more likely to reach their goals and succeed in life. And Camp Fire youth give back through volunteerism, community service projects, and acts of kindness. We appreciate your support of this good work and are grateful that you share our vision to Light the fire within the lives of young people along our central coast and beyond!

Great staff, exceptional volunteers, and contributions from organizations and individuals - like yourself - are what makes us Camp Fire Strong and what allows us to serve youth all year long.

In honor of Giving Tuesday, November 27th would you use our hashtag and share your story? What is your, “I am.....” message? Share your message on your favorite social media using hashtag: #CampFireStrong. For example, young people may say: "I am #CampFireStrong because I'm building confidence.” Adults may say: “I am #CampFireStrong because, I'm using my Spark to positively impact youth.”

Camp Fire helps children and youth gain the critical life skills they need to thrive in a diverse and changing world.
We accomplish this by connecting them with caring adults who champion their full potential in a safe, inclusive space. Adult champions -both volunteers and staff- invest their time so local children and youth can grow, contribute, and succeed now; positively impacting our schools, communities, homes, and workplaces.

Surveyed children and youth agree that:
Adults in Camp Fire think that my ideas are important.
Adults in Camp fire listen to me when I talk about the things I care about.
Adults in Camp Fire help me solve problems instead of telling me what to do.
Adults in Camp Fire encourage me to explore the things I am interested in.
Adults in Camp Fire believe that I will be a success.
