Giving Tuesday

   You may have heard of:

            Black Friday...

                  Cyber Monday...

                        Small Business Saturday...

   But did you know about:

                                         Giving Tuesday...?

#GivingTuesday™ is a national day of giving on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. This year, the date is November 27th.

When you give to Camp Fire, you light the fire within the lives of youth in your community. Since 1935, youth have been giving back through community service and kind deeds. Over the past few weeks, Club youth have been making blankets and purchasing stuffed animals to be bundled by Project Sweet Dreams and given to homeless children and victims of the California wildfires. One Teens In Action group raised over $500 for the SLO Animal Shelter and helped raise awareness at their school about preveting animal mistreatment and neglect. Annually, Camp Fire children and teens serve a hot Thanksgiving meal at the Vet's Hall to struggling families and individuals in our community...

These are just a few of the ways Camp Fire youth give back to our community every day. On #GivingTuesday, we can show our support of local youth by giving back to them too. Click | HERE | to make an online donation, or call 805-773-5126 for other giving methods.

At Camp Fire, we believe all youth, teens, families, and communities have sometime to give — whether it's time, money, other resources, or your own creative ways. Everything helps! Maybe finances are tight this year; you can still help: "donate" your Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/SnapChat page to Camp Fire on November 27th and spread the word about the good work we're doing. When you use the hashtags: #CampFire and #GivingTuesday, you're connecting with the #movement on social media. Check out some share-friendly images | HERE | and be sure to tell your friends and family why Camp Fire is important to you.
